The firm is led by Tisya Yunus, who is the Managing Partner. Tisya graduated from Universiti Teknologi MARA with a honours in law and was called to the Malaysian Bar in 2008. With areas of specialization that run the gamut from family to labour to employment and immigration law, Tisya Yunus’ scope of work matches her years of practice. Seniority aside, her abilities extend beyond client advocacy to include conducting several high profile cases up to the Court of Appeal and Federal Court level. With close to a decade of field experience tucked under her belt, she is most celebrated for her expertise in debt recovery and general dispute resolution.

Recording a prominent history as a no-nonsense advocate and solicitor, she has spent the better part of the last 10 years in service to several blue chip companies and brands. She has also done work for many local and international financial institutions and banks as well as government linked companies and government agencies — a formidable list spanning her tenure in prominent firms such as Mah-Kamariyah & Philip Koh and  Lee Hishammuddin, Allen & Gledhill.

Tisya’s tenures entailed work across the corporate, banking, and general litigation sectors. In 2014, she moved to establish a private practice, which operated under the label of Tisya Yunus & Co. before moving on to form Yunus & Susek.

Tisya is also an active member of the Malaysian Bar and State Bar Committees where she was previously a deputy chairperson for the Young Lawyers' Committee.
